Making Milestones offers both informal assessments and formal evaluations.
An informal assessment/screening consists of a 60 minute session with an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist or Physical Therapist. The therapist speaks with the parent about the child's present functioning level and her opinion as to the child's need for services in that area.
A formal evaluation includes a written report and standardized scoring of a child's functioning level and recommendation as to whether or not services are necessary. The use of standardized
assessment tools, non-standardized assessment tools, parent interview, and clinical observations are used to assess the child's performance. The actual evaluation usually takes approximately 90 minutes.

The Listening Program® (TLP) is a Music-Based Auditory Stimulation method that trains the brain to improve the auditory skills needed to effectively listen, learn and communicate.
It consists of an extensive series of high-quality audio CDs that integrate specially produced acoustic music, primarily classical, with innovative sound processing techniques that exercise the brain and auditory pathways.
Advanced Brain Technologies, LLC (ABT) develops The Listening Program products building upon key concepts originated by the late Alfred Thomas, M.D., a pioneer in the field of auditory intervention. The ABT interdisciplinary development team is comprised of experienced professionals in the therapeutic, heath, neurodevelopment, education, music and sound engineering fields.
